Flying Officer Griffin took command of the Squadron in June 2017 from Flying Officer Strachan who went abroad to train to become an Air Traffic Controller at Edinburgh airport. After 7 years Fg Off Griffin timed out as a Cadet SNCO before being appointed as Squadron Adjutant and was Commissioned soon after. He hopes to build on the Sqn’s successes and with his Range Conducting Officer (RCO) qualification aims to get maximum use out of our on-site range getting Cadets through the new marksmanship syllabus. Outside of the Sqn, Fg Off Griffin has his Private Pilot’s Licence enjoying some flying in his spare time and is also a qualified Referee with the SFA. |
